Wow, it’s been awhile since I blogged! I feel like I’m going back in time.

I’m starting this blog with the One Room Challenge, Fall 2019. I have some rooms I’ve finished in our house already that I will post about after the challenge is finished.

At first I was going to do the Living Room, but then my husband Jarrod designed a pretty rad towel bar for our master bathroom, and we were inspired to finish our bathroom based off of that. So Jarrod will be joining me! He won’t necessarily be a part of every design I do, but I’m happy to have him whenever I can.

My background: I’m a freelance illustrator, painter, mixed media artist, and a production designer, set decorator and artist in the film industry. I prefer to create however and whatever I feel, I don’t like being cornered in by one creative medium or limited by someones else’s vision. This is why I’m beginning my YouTube channel and blog, so that I can create authentically.

My goal with our home is to make it into a unique space with as much DIY as possible. I love the challenge of coming up with custom design and not relying too heavily on mass produced items and trendy ideas. If it’s colorful, bold and weird, I like it. If it’s over the top, I like it. If it’s unconventional, I like it.
